Frequently asked questions

Is The Setback Society really anonymous?
Yes. You publish under a pseudonym. There are no follower counts, no likes, no leaderboards, and no public metrics on your account.
Who moderates the stories?
A small team of trained moderators reviews every submission before it goes live. Anything that risks harm is routed to a priority queue and answered with real support resources, never a cold rejection.
Can I read without an account?
Yes. All approved stories and library articles are public. You only need an account to publish, comment, or react.
How do reactions work?
Reactions like 'I understand', 'here for you', 'thank you' and 'this helped' are visible only to the author. They are never surfaced as public counts or rankings.
What if I'm going through a crisis?
Please visit our Support page for a curated list of professional resources. We are a community, not a substitute for professional help.
Will you build forums and polls?
Yes — those are planned for Phase 2. We're keeping the launch narrow so we can moderate every corner of the site well.
